Project Description
Houston Hall is an American beer hall located in West Village neighborhood of NYC. Placing importance on creation of high quality food paired with perfectly crafted beers from Greenpoint Beerworks, Kolar Studio was brought on to design and execute a place with a concept of old American beer hall. The exterior and interior space was completely transformed from existing parking garage to giant hall with 30 feet high celling, exposed rafters, glass skylights and along with communal tables and exposed brick walls with hand painted murals we created truly enjoyable space for social interaction.
Scope of Work:Exterior and Interior concept creation, Design of costume tables and furniture, bars, lighting, artworks and painted murals. Management of construction and installations.

Large, loud beer hall-type restaurant. Great interior design with brick walls and exposed timber ceiling. The beer was great as where the numerous appetizers my group shared. In an indirect way, it reminded me of a German beer hall; with an American spin.
